This is a limited edition signed mounted print donated by Dylan Izaak called The Seaside edition number 44/50 50x100 cm's.

Dylan was born in 1971 and he lives and works in Stratford-on-Avon, England. He is a self taught artist and this has enabled him to develop his own, unique style.

He started his career by working as a street artist. This took him around the world following the summer season. He would draw detailed pen and ink pictures of famous buildings and people's portraits. During this time he also painted in other mediums and styles but purely for his own pleasure, never realising their commercial value.

After returning to England, Dylan decided to open an art gallery. He came up with the novel idea of having the gallery onboard a traditional narrow boat. After a year of planning, his gallery was finally opened.

This is a numbered limited edition print called Meet The Lubbas by Peter Smith it is from his own personnal collection and comes with a special Remarque and dedication to make it unique!

Born in the small town of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire Peter Smith bypassed the well trodden route to the local industries and followed the somewhat unusual lifestyle of artist. Along the way he became a surveyor, a computer programmer and eventually a graphic artist within the fashion industry, a job he enjoyed for 16 happy years. His last two years have been spent increasing his presence within the art world and honing his skills to the standard you now see before you.

“People ask me where I get my ideas from, the quirky animals, the strong colours and strange concepts, but I see them everyday in the street, the people I meet, the feelings I experience. At the end of every day I have hundreds of images fighting for my attention and the chance to be painted; quite often I get carried away with excitement and fill my sketchbook with images from cover to cover within hours.

“My colours come from my work within the fashion industry to provide strong visual statements, my compositions come from interaction; I like to include some form of connection between the items on a canvas, and quite often the eyes will play a big part in leading a viewer's perception, imagine yourself looking from the viewpoint of one of the characters, look around from their point of view inside the canvas observing all the other objects and try to imagine their feelings - you will then begin to understand what I really felt when I painted the piece.”

Framed limited edition(165) print Memories Of Giants by Kevin Day.

Kevin Day was born in 1973 in South shields. His natural talent for painting and drawing was recognised from a very young age when he recieved an oil painting set as a gift from his mother. During his childhood his talent was nurtured and encouraged by his mother and grandfather who were also naturally talented artists.

Following a standard secondary education Kevin attended the local college and then university studying art and design, where he graduated with a diploma in illustration.
At this time he was more interested in his other love, which was music. After college and a few years giging around on home ground he started a career as a professional musician playing guitar in a band.

After leaving his music career behind Kevin resorted to getting a "proper job" where he ended up working as a delivery driver. However in 2004 he began to concentrate more seriously on painting as a profession and doing part time delivery work for extra income.
His previous paintings where mostly landscapes of Northumberland and The Lake District. Now his work has progressed into focusing on combination of people in cityscapes and considering the relationship between the two. Kevin's work takes influence from many areas, apart from the traditional inspiration's such as Rembrant, Turner, Vermeer, Singer Sargent and Hopper. Kevin also taks much influence from film.

More recently Kevin's career as an artisttook an upward turn when he won a regional figurative art competition voted by the public for 'GIRL AWAKE'in September2007 at THE ARTWORKS GALLERY, Newcastle. Then in December 2007 Kevin won Alexander Millers Apprentice featured on BBC Looknorth. As part of the prize for the competition Kevin was offered a publishing contract with one of the counties largest art publishers but after much consideration he decided not to take up the offer, preferring to have freedom and independence to allow his work to develop naturally.

From an early age he had an affinity with the countryside and its wildlife. Very limited edition print 11 of 12 Silver Tales by artist Nicola Slattery.

A drypoint print is produced by drawing directly onto a printmaking plate using a steel needle. Nicola Slattery usually uses a perspex plate - a technique she has helped to pioneer and which is now used by many other printmakers. The number of prints in each edition is strictly limited - usually to between 6 and 12. Many of her prints are hand coloured using water colour. All are hand produced at each stage directly by the artist herself and therefore each print is unique. The prints are signed and numbered by the artist upon completion. If you would like a copy of an article on the technique written by Nicola Slattery please get in touch.

Artist proof print The Backwater by Artist Jonathan Ponter.

Much inspired by the subtle narrative and attention to “Realism in Nature” of the Victorian artists, Jonathan has always strived to say more in his work than merely painting a convincing portrait of an animal.

Living in the Middle East as a child he quickly developed a love for the natural world through living collections of the local scorpions, camel spiders and lizards. On returning to England, his family moved to the countryside, where woods, water meadows and the down-lands of the Kennet valley consolidated his love of and interest in the natural world.

Jonathan’s portfolio of work therefore, has an international flavor that reflects his travels in search of the unusual and exotic. In the past few years, he has made several trips to Asia, not in search of the ever popular and much over painted Tiger, but other equally endangered wildlife. Monkeys, civets, bright birds, and huge monitor lizards all feature in his work.

The major part of Jonathan’s work is based on British wildlife, particularly those animals and birds associated with the Sporting traditions and lifestyle.
Living close to the South Downs provides endless opportunities for first hand observation and much of the local fauna of that area feature in his paintings.

His work is held by several leading galleries but is represented primarily by Jonathan Cooper of Park Walk gallery, London. In December 2005 Jonathan had his first solo exhibition at the Park Walk Gallery, focusing on the theme of “British Wildlife”. This exhibition was a sell -out, proof if needed, that traditional and representational paintings still have a place in a changeable market.

Limited edition signed print ‘Leopard Face’ by artist David Stribbling

I was born in 1955 in Middlesex, England and had an interest in art from an early age which developed during my school years. Since then I have had experience in interior design and electrical retail management and in 1978 moved to Preston, Lancashire (about 35 miles from Liverpool) where I still live with my wife and three daughters.

I began painting full-time in 1985 and soon realized I had the "knack" of creating likenesses of people and animals and fairly quickly established myself as a portrait painter, supplying pictures to galleries and private collections world-wide.

In 1989, eager to try new things, I began painting a wider diversity of subject matter including aviation, sporting and wildlife and the subsequent acclaim for this work led me to open my own art gallery in Preston. After 6 years running the gallery I began to feel a little bogged down by the day to day running of the retail side and not spending enough time with brush and easel. So in 1996 I closed the gallery and set up a small studio in the attic at home and concentrated on doing some serious painting.

I have always been asked to produce portraits of pets - cats, dogs horses etc and it was from this that I began painting other wildlife subjects, particularly African and the "big cats". I now feel priviliged to consider myself a wildlife artist and never cease to be amazed and delighted to see the canvas come to life before my eyes.

A limited edition framed print ‘Onward & Upward’ by artist Paul Horton

‘Onward & Upward’ was specially conceived in support of Cockney Rebel musician Steve Harley's fundraising efforts. As an ambassador for MAG (Mines Advisory Group) Steve is dedicated to raising awareness of land mine issues across the world. This image is unique as it is also co-signed by Paul and Steve Harley himself – the first of its kind.

"Paul Horton is one of Britain's most exciting and talented living artists today.

Not only is his pastel work stunning and his subjects engaging, but he is one of the nicest and most determined people I have ever met. I first met Paul ten years ago when he was a struggling artist desperate to interest publishers and galleries in his unique work. The knock backs he received then would have driven most people to despair, however Paul had amazing self-belief and refused to give up. Furthermore he did it all with a smile on his face - his most enduring characteristic.

I connected with Paul's work the first time I saw it and was amazed to discover that he had no gallery to sell his work through. I agreed there and then to take everything he produced and the rest as they say is history. Paul's work is now produced by Washington Green - Europe's leading Fine Art Publisher and is represented in over 200 galleries worldwide.

Paul has been described as a modern day Lowry. His roots lie in the past and he takes a lot of inspiration from his Midlands background. As a child he suffered from acute asthma an it was whilst other children were playing that Paul began drawing and painting, not knowing that his means of escape would eventually one day become his future.

I believe Paul Horton will become one of this country's most celebrated artists and I feel very privileged to be working with him."

Signed limited edition print ‘Flight Officer Maureen Dunlop’ by artist Stella Vine

Giclée print on arches archival paper
Actual image size 71 x 80cm
Paper size 79 x 88cm
Edition of 100
2008
Signed, numbered and dated on the front by the artist

"She climbed out of the cockpit of her Fairey Barracuda and became instantly famous. Wearing a summer uniform of white shirt, dark tie and sleeves rolled above the elbows, she slung a parachute over her shoulder and shook out her long hair.

Back-lit by the afternoon sun, pilot Maureen Dunlop looked unbelievably glamorous. When the picture appeared in 1944 on the cover of the magazine Picture Post, the world was convinced the Air Transport Auxiliary - or ATA - was an-all woman outfit.

Flying in the ATA whether you were a man or a woman was one of the most high-risk activities in the whole war - its death rate was higher than in RAF Fighter Command.

Of 1,124 pilots who flew for the outfit, nearly one in six was killed. Constantly depleted, the elite troupe needed replenishing - yet even when their country clearly needed them, women had to fight hard to be allowed to take part at all.

The hoops they had to jump through to be accepted in a hitherto male preserve seem quite extraordinary, as does their amazing single-mindedness."
